Lebanon commemorates the end of the French Mandate over Lebanon in 1943, after 23 years of Mandate rule.
This is a picture of their flag, as drawn and approved by the members of the Lebanese Parliament during the declaration of independence in 1943.
For this occasion, I made delicious Kaak bi Haleeb. Kaak are a sort of soft milk buns. I added some roasted sesame seeds on top for extra flavour.
