Nauru, let's go exotic

You probably also never heard of Nauru (me neither), but it is actually a small island in the Pacific Ocean. Roughly located somewhere between New Zealand and Alaska...

Anyway, they celebrate their Independence Day today, 31st of January.
During World War II, Nauru was occupied by the Japanese. When the war ended, the island entered into UN trusteeship. Nauru gained its independence in 1968. They joined the Commonwealth of Nations.

But let's focus on something more important (and the reason why you're reading this). I made a local specialty, banana pineapple bread.
You can ask my colleagues, but I can assure you, it tastes good!

Enjoy your day!
